NovaVision VRT — Vision Rehabilitation Post Stroke or TBI
There are approximately 1.5 million stroke and traumatic brain injury (TBI) survivors in the U.S. with visual field deficits such as hemianopia, quadrantanopia, scotoma and constriction. This number is increasing by 90,000 each year.
A large number of stoke and brain injury survivors are unaware they have a vision problem, and if they are aware, they don’t always know their vision defect is a result of their injury. NovaVision™ and its participating VRT Partner Centers are committed to educating patients, physicians and other medical, rehabilitation and vision centers that with VRT, there is hope for patients requiring vision rehabilitation post stroke or TBI.
Vision loss resulting from stroke or TBI prevents patients from engaging in many normal day-to-day activities. Until now, there has been no effective, FDA-cleared vision rehabilitation for patients post stroke or TBI.
An Effective, FDA-Cleared Treatment for Visual Field Deficits
Based on groundbreaking research in neuroplasticity, NovaVision VRT is a clinically proven, at-home vision rehabilitation technique that is performed on a medical device. Over 1,000 patients have been treated with VRT. In a recent retrospective study, more than 70 percent of patients who completed this method of vision rehabilitation post stroke or TBI showed measurable improvements in their vision that enhanced their quality of life.

NovaVision VRT Visual Field Analysis
By graphically plotting a patient’s visual field, NovaVision VRT can objectively measure results as a patient progresses through vision rehabilitation post stroke or TBI. For patients themselves, the subjective benefits are significant. The pictures above are a graphic illustration of what a patient may exhibit from VRT. Results may vary.
