Patient initiated NovaVision VRT 2 years after lesion
- Patient is 36-year-old male.
- Stroke infarct to right PCA following removal of acoustic neuroma.
- Lesion occurred:1996.
- Resultant incomplete, left homonymous, hemianopsia.
Subjective improvements after initial nine-month therapy:
- Patient reports much better reading ability.
- Improved ability to concentrate.
- Reports bumping into others much less often.
Subjective improvements after secondary 14-month therapy:
- Able to read in a moving car.
- Regained ability to climb stairs without holding the railing.
Note: Patient discontinued therapy for 20 months and then restarted
