Participants Needed For Study on VRT

PARTICIPANTS NEEDED FOR STUDY ON VISUAL RESTORATION THERAPY

Hemianopic or quandrantanopic patients needed for a study on computer-based visual restoration therapy. Patients may also receive non-painful noninvasive brain stimulation to see if it helps to enhance the rehabilitative effects of the therapy. You may be eligible if you have visual loss in both eyes due to stroke, aneurysm, brain tumor, brain surgery, or trauma. If you or a member of your immediate family has a history of a seizure disorder you will not be eligible. Patients must not be taking medications for an active neurological or psychological medical condition. Patients must not have metallic implants or devices in their head. Participation will take place at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts 3 times per week for 3 months. Parking and other transportation costs will be covered.
